Paris Part 2

After such a long holiday, it was time for us to return to Paris. As a promise to my wife, she could do all the shopping she wanted before we returned home, Singapore.

From Netherlands to Paris, we just needed to take a train and on the way we will pass through Brussels, Belgium. We have researched on this route and found comments left by some passengers that there are syndicates in Brussels railway station that they would board the train at the very last minute to snatch whatever luggage they could get their hands on and then jumped off the train. We were very careful when we reached there. I actually left my seat and stationed myself at the luggage compartment area to ensure nothing of that sort would happen to us. The other passengers seem pleased that there was someone (yes, me...) watching their luggage for them too. What I must say too is that no such incident happened to us was also due to there was already railway personel patrolling the train platform, which I think was a very good initiative by the authority there.

We checked in back the same hotel in Paris and took a stroll near our hotel area. Nothing much, just a nice stroll with my wife under the moonlight.

On the way back to hotel - Amazing parking skills

The next day was the day my wife had been waiting for - Just Shopping. We headed back to La Fayette and spent so many hours there. In fact, I couldn't even remember if we had lunch at all. To cut the long story short, we basically spent our whole afternoon there shopping and about an hour plus trying to get the paperwork done for the tax refund.

After we are done with the shopping, we returned to our hotel to put our prized items in the room. We went to Eiffel Tower, this time, to scale to the top. Actually, we took a lift up mid way and to access the top, we just need to climb a couple of stairs. The view at the top of Eiffel Tower is truly breathtaking.

Once we finished our dinner, we returned to our room and spent some time packing our goodies. The next day, we checked out of our hotel rather early so that we have enough time to claim our tax refund in the airport.

Last Lunch in Paris - Roast Duck Confit, loved the crispy skin

I had Ribeye Steak. Fatty, juicy and mouthwatering....Mama Mia!!!

Finally, we board the Emirates flight and enjoyed their service one last time...
